Job Description

Operate and maintain polypropylene PP extrusion machinery to produce plastic products according to specifications ensuring quality safety and production efficiency Key Responsibilities Set up start up and shut down PP extrusion lines according to production schedules Install and adjust dies rollers and downstream equipment cooling tanks pullers cutters Configure machine parameters including temperature pressure screw speed and cooling rates Load raw PP pellets colorants and additives into hoppers ensure proper blending ratios Monitor extrusion process and make precise adjustments to maintain product dimensions and quality Perform first article and routine quality inspections using calipers micrometers and gauges Identify and troubleshoot extrusion defects such as surface blemishes warping or dimensional variations Perform minor preventive maintenance including cleaning dies filters and calibrators Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation Follow all safety protocols including Lockout Tagout LOTO and PPE requirements Maintain clean and organized work area according to 5 S standards Preferred Qualifications Experience with HPM or Davis-Standard extrusion machines Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles High School Diploma or equivalent required 2-5 years of experience operating plastic extrusion machinery Hands-on experience with PP (polypropylene) processing preferred Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) in metric units Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications Basic computer skills for data entry (Excel) Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Willingness to work rotating shifts #J-18808-Ljbffr
