Health Safety Environment Supervisor

Job Description

Conduct monthly audit visits to Abyat facilities in Kuwait

Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures for Abyat facilities in Kuwait

Responsible for implementation of health and safety risk mitigation measures

Report regularly to Abyat Logistics Manager and Health and Safety committee

Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation

Initiate and organize HS training of employees and executives, conduct tool box talks

Ensure reporting and investigation of any HS incidents or accidents

Prepare emergency plan

Conduction of mock drills

Support the development of HS policies and programs

Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery and equipment)

Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)

Maintain Risk Register and advise mitigation practices

Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy

Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to management

Skills

Requirements

Proven 5+ years’ experience as HSE Supervisor

In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., OSHA/EPA) and procedures.

Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices

Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety

Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics

Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus

Outstanding organizational skills; Diligent with great attention to detail

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics

Certificate in occupational health and safety (NEBOSH IGC)

Availability and enforcement of HSE Policies and Procedures

Minimized H&S risks

Minimized HSE related audit observations

Lower count of incidents and accidents

Regular H&S training for employees

Consistent H&S records and reports

Successful conduction of drill
