Job Description

Librarian Assistant Location: Bayan, Kuwait The Bayan Public Library is seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Librarian Assistant. This is a contract position with a salary of 1600$. Preference will be given to Indian candidates, but all nationalities are welcome to apply. No previous library experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for beginners or non-native speakers looking to enter the field of library science. As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Librarian in managing the day-to-day operations of the library. This includes shelving and organizing books, maintaining library databases and records, assisting patrons with finding materials, and providing general customer service. You will also have the opportunity to assist with planning and implementing library programs and events. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is passionate about books and information management, has strong organizational skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential. This contract position comes with accommodation provided by the library and includes a free visa and ticket to Kuwait.
